BIOGRAPHY
I would like to thank you for your interest in Idaho Payroll Services, and share with you a bit of my history. My parents owned a grocery store in rural Wilder, Idaho. In this store, I worked from the 3rd grade until my graduation from Boise State University in 1990. Although not appreciative at the time, I now understand the work ethic that I learned from my mother and father.
After graduating from college in 1990, I worked for a CPA firm in Tax Preparation. While not my life’s calling, I learned the foundations of taxes-including payroll taxes. At the time, I did not know how beneficial this knowledge would become.
In 1994, I accepted a position with West One Bank as an Internal Auditor. I enjoyed the work and respected my colleagues. However, in 1996, US Bank bought West One Bank - all of us were left looking for new jobs.
I moved to Twin Falls, Idaho in 1996 as the Director of Internal Control for First Federal Savings Bank. I developed and implemented the first Internal Audit Department for the bank. I gained a great deal of knowledge in systems, operations, and management.
In 1999, I had the opportunity to move back to Boise and joined a Commercial Finance Company. In this position I learned sound business and worked among many successful entrepreneurs.
In 2002, I developed a program for a friend who was struggling to keep up with the demands of his payroll. At that time, I decided to launch my own payroll company.
Work ethics, a foundation of knowledge, experience, leadership, and entrepreneurship have led to Idaho Payroll Services. I welcome the opportunity to serve the payroll needs of your company.
Thank you,
Scott Edwards
